Who can apply? Check your passport nationality
Eligibility depends on the passport you will travel with, your purpose and the current government rules. Residence in another country does not replace your passport nationality. A nationality appearing in our preparation form does not confirm that an eVisa will be available or approved.
If you have two passports, use the same travel document throughout the request and journey. If you replace a passport after applying, ask the relevant authority whether a new application or correction is necessary.
Apply online ↗Do you need an invitation or letter of invitation?
Do not assume that every electronic visa category has the same supporting-document rules. A tourism itinerary, business event invitation or humanitarian programme letter serves a different purpose. Confirm whether a letter of invitation or other approval is required for your specific category through the official portal or a Turkmenistan consular mission.
For an event or programme, keep the organiser's name, contact details, dates and your role available. An eVisa for a short visit does not automatically authorise employment, residence or activities outside its conditions. Compare tourism, business and humanitarian travel purposes.
Check these details before submitting
- Copy your name exactly as it appears on your passport and check every number and date.
- Make sure the documents are readable and relate to the person applying.
- Confirm that your planned activity matches the category you are requesting.
- Check the proposed route and border crossing, including separate transit-country requirements.
- Keep an individual document set for every traveller, including children.

After a visa is issued
Read the authorised dates, number of entries and conditions on the issued document. Requested dates on a form do not replace the dates actually granted.
